Here's something for the chocolate and churro lovers! The world-famous Chocolateria San Ginés of Madrid, Spain is opening its doors in Manila next year.

The famous chocolateria, best known for its beloved churros, is set to open its first Asian flagship store in the Philippines in February 2026.

Located at The Podium Mall in Pasig City, the Philippine store of Chocolateria San Ginés will serve as the brand's debut in Asia.

Opened in 1894, Chocolateria San Ginés has become one of Madrid's cultural institutions, known for serving delectable churros and thick, velvety chocolate.

“As a chocolatería beloved around the world, San Ginés deserves a home in the Philippines,” San Ginés Founder Pedro Trapote was quoted as saying.

According to the brand, its Philippine store will offer a space that combines its century-old heritage with Manila's modern energy. It looks to be a place to “savor Madrid's sweetest tradition in the heart of Manila.”

Aside from its beloved churros and chocolate, San Ginés at The Podium will also be offering a menu of Spanish comfort dishes, desserts crafted for the local palate, and a selection of brunch favorites.
